KVFD firefighters plan an important role in educating the community about fire safety.
Annual fire safety demonstrations are given at local schools and assisted living facilities throughout the year.
KVFD firefighters take part in local parades. During the May long-weekend firefighters cook pancake breakfasts.
Community members are able to experience hands-on use of a fire extinguisher during the Fire Safety week in October.
